Whilst it does not look like I have been up to much, in the background I have been making sure that the services and websites I offer are up to date and work well. Hosting wise things have been pretty quiet except WordPress got a bump up to V7 and that brought the inevitable AI updates to the fore. I can take or leave AI personally as so far it hasn’t been the magic bullet many predicted, but I do use it for some things like quick image generation as it is far quicker and better quality that what I can do myself. But, and this is a big but, a lot of people are already turning against AI because, well, it is so god damn lazy….
I have cut a lot of services I offer because, well for example, Proton Meet is a nice secure Zoom alternative with much better privacy. I cannot beat it really, so I see no point in trying to. I thoroughly recommend you check it out though as it works very well…
